About the Role
The Assistant Personal Training Manager is a leader of operational excellence at the club, upholding the quality of the Equinox experience for the PT Department. This role reports to the Personal Training Manager and focuses on education, programming, and coach development.
Key Responsibilities
- →Manage pipeline including Equifit assessments and complimentary training session conversion
- →Collaborate with Membership Advisors to provide understanding of PT value proposition
- →Perform session audits on both complimentary and paid services
- →Support cohesive relationships with Operations through weekly PT/GM meetings
- →Forge relationships with key club leaders to support PT initiatives
- →Assist with business performance through monthly action plans
- →Hold team accountable for quality member interactions
- →Craft and execute monthly trainers’ forum with Personal Training Manager
- →Champion Personal Training service standards by engaging with members
Requirements
- ✓Maintain PT presentation standards including Bio Boards, Nametags and Uniforms
- ✓Participate in Performance Management of Coaches in partnership with PTM and Club Management
- ✓Oversee Equifit administration and communications
- ✓Support new Coach onboarding, administration and logistics
- ✓Demonstrate business acumen to identify trends and insights
- ✓Support all operational SOPs including administrative duties
- ✓Participate in team headcount target maintenance through retention and recruitment
- ✓Employee Development
- ✓Lead employees through the coach levels via education and promotion process
- ✓Develop skills in fitness assessments, Complimentary PT sessions, and results review conversations
- ✓Ensure compliance and delivery of programming through regular program design reviews
- ✓Teach coaches Equifit/CPT closing using Sales Training techniques
- ✓Deliver in club education to support training team development
- ✓Lead quality and developmental components of New Hire onboarding
- ✓Lead Ramper meetings with coaches to support business progression
- ✓Ensure efficient and timely trainer coach promotions
- ✓Identify and collaborate on key talent to advance trainer careers
- ✓Host/Participate in weekly Coach X team meetings
- ✓Support Coach X candidate development process
- ✓Supporter of Team Culture
- ✓Participate in recruitment & interviewing of prospective coaches
- ✓Mentor and develop ramping Coaches
- ✓Foster team commitment to ongoing education opportunities
