About Faire
Faire is an online wholesale marketplace built on the belief that the future is local β independent retailers around the globe are doing more revenue than Walmart and Amazon combined, but individually, they are small compared to these massive entities. At Faire, we're using the power of tech, data, and machine learning to connect this thriving community of entrepreneurs across the globe. Picture your favorite boutique in town β we help them discover the best products from around the world to sell in their stores. With the right tools and insights, we believe that we can level the playing field so that small businesses everywhere can compete with these big box and e-commerce giants.
By supporting the growth of independent businesses, Faire is driving positive economic impact in local communities, globally. Weβre looking for smart, resourceful and passionate people to join us as we power the shop local movement. If you believe in community, come join ours.
About this role
Product Marketing at Faire is a strategic function embedded across the product lifecycle. PMMs partner closely with Product, Design, Marketing, and Revenue to shape programs from the ground up, develop positioning and messaging, lead GTM strategy, and drive awareness and adoption. We have PMMs focused on each side of the marketplace: brands who sell on Faire, and the retailers who buy from them.
We're looking for a senior product marketer who can own a meaningful product area, build GTM strategy from scratch, and grow their remit over time as business needs shift. This is a role for someone who moves comfortably between strategy and execution, and who can bring clarity to ambiguous problems across a cross-functional team.
Positioning and messaging
β’ Develop deep customer understanding for your product area and translate those insights into clear, compelling positioning.
β’ Make complex product decisions feel simple to customers, whether that's a new feature, a program change, or an evolving value proposition.
β’ Ensure messaging lands consistently across all surfaces: in-product, email, help center, and sales enablement.
GTM strategy and execution
β’ Build and own end-to-end GTM strategy for your product area, from positioning through launch and adoption.
β’ Execute across multiple channels, sequencing customer education to drive behavior change at the right moments in the journey.
β’ Coordinate cross-functional enablement across Revenue, CX, Lifecycle, and other partners to bring GTM plans to life.
β’ Act as a customer-centric thought partner to Product, Design, Legal, and other stakeholders as your products evolve.
β’ Manage multiple product areas simultaneously, balancing depth on a primary focus with breadth across adjacent priorities.
Team and craft
β’ Serve as the marketing subject matter expert for your product partners, connecting the dots across product, sales, and marketing.
β’ Contribute to a culture of peer learning and craft development on the PMM team, including how we experiment with and adopt AI in our work.
Qualifications
Required
β’ 6+ years of product marketing experience, or an adjacent role with direct ownership of positioning, messaging, and GTM strategy for complex products.
β’ Track record of building and executing GTM plans from scratch across multiple channels.
β’ Strong communicator who can make nuanced product and business decisions legible to customers, sales teams, and executive stakeholders, and drive alignment across functions without direct authority.
β’ Uses data to size opportunities, measure impact, and pressure-test strategy.
β’ Experience conducting or directing customer research and translating findings into positioning.
β’ Comfortable operating in ambiguity and managing shifting scope as business priorities evolve.
Nice to have
β’ Experience in a marketplace, e-commerce, wholesale, or retail context.
β’ Background marketing to small business owners or other entrepreneur audiences.
β’ Familiarity with building thematic campaigns across product areas, not just siloed launches.
Salary Range
San Francisco: The pay range for this role is $148,000 - $203,500 per year.
This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors, including transferable skills, work experience, market demand, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Note: Weβre proactively building a pipeline of talented candidates for upcoming opportunities on our team. While this role may not be filled immediately, weβre excited to connect with candidates early and move quickly as hiring needs evolve.
Hybrid Faire employees currently go into the office 3 days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day of their choosing (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday).
