Fanatics Collectibles is a new company operating at the intersection of collectibles, culture, and technology. Backed by world-class investors, operators, and sports & entertainment partners, we are building the global leader in next-generation collectibles. As part of the broader Fanatics ecosystem, we leverage a digital sports platform that spans over 900 sports properties and engages more than 81 million fans. Together, we are reimagining every part of the collectibles experience for fans, partners, and creators.
Role Summary
Fanatics Collectibles is seeking a strategic, analytical, and business-savvy finance professional to join our growing international finance team. Based in Shanghai office, 5 days per week, this role will be instrumental in supporting the rapid growth of our China business. The successful candidate will serve as a key thought partner to the APAC Regional President and report directly to the [VP of International Finance].
This is not a traditional finance roleβthis position is deeply focused on driving business insights, supporting strategic initiatives such as market entry strategies and distribution expansion, and developing financial frameworks that enable decision-making across the region. Fluency in both Mandarin and English is essential, as the role requires cross-functional collaboration with teams across China and global headquarters.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Act as the strategic finance business partner to the APAC Regional President, driving analysis and recommendations on growth initiatives, including new distribution channels, partnerships, and market expansion.
β’ Lead financial modeling and ROI analyses to support key investment decisions and commercial strategies in the region.
β’ Partner with global and local teams to develop long-term planning models aligned with our China growth objectives.
β’ Translate complex business questions into structured, data-driven analyses and present findings to senior executives.
β’ Evaluate market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive positioning to inform strategic financial planning.
β’ Create executive-ready materials for quarterly business reviews, board updates, and investment proposals related to the China business.
β’ Support cross-functional projects related to pricing, product profitability, cost optimization, and strategic planning.
β’ Help standardize and scale regional financial processes, ensuring integration with global tools and systems (e.g., Oracle).
β’ Maintain a deep understanding of Chinaβs economic and regulatory environment to inform strategic finance decisions.
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or CFA is a plus.
β’ 7+ years of relevant experience in strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, or corporate development; strong preference for candidates with experience in fast-paced, high-growth consumer businesses or multinational companies operating in China.
β’ Proven track record of supporting executive decision-making through high-impact financial and strategic analysis.
β’ Advanced financial modeling skills and fluency with Excel and PowerPoint.
β’ Strong understanding of financial statements, corporate finance, and valuation methodologies.
β’ Experience working with Oracle or similar enterprise systems is a plus.
β’ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
β’ Ability to navigate cross-cultural environments and influence stakeholders across regions and functions.
β’ Highly analytical, intellectually curious, and comfortable working in ambiguity.
