About the Role
FT Weekend is seeking an art director to lead the visual direction of Life & Arts and House & Home sections, both online and in print.
Key Responsibilities
- βPresent a range of stories from theatre reviews to essays on world events
- βCommission illustrations and create secondary elements to engage readers
- βCollaborate with editors, picture editors, and production experts
- βEvolve the design of Life & Arts and House & Home while maintaining their distinctive look
- βEnsure visuals effectively support storytelling
Requirements
- βThorough experience with Adobe design suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- βBasic understanding of video editing and animation (Premiere Pro/After Effects)
- βStrong knowledge of Methode and a track record in print design
- βGood journalistic sense and visual storytelling ability
- βKnowledge of infographics and maps presentation
