About the Role

We are looking for an Application Security Engineer to join Fireblocks, a platform trusted by major financial institutions for digital asset management. This role involves supporting product teams with security measures and enhancing our applications' security.

Key Responsibilities

→Support product teams by conducting design reviews, threat modeling, security testing, and code reviews
→Contribute code to enhance security across applications, including developing security libraries and standardizing practices
→Lead automation efforts to identify security weaknesses and develop preventive controls
→Assess security vulnerabilities and work with development teams on remediation
→Identify gaps in Fireblocks’ secure software development life cycle and implement solutions
→Determine root causes of vulnerabilities and work with developers on solutions
→Participate in team meetings, roadmap planning, and discussions
→Validate security patches and test for potential bypasses
→Document vulnerabilities to enable quick engineering team action
→Proactively prevent future vulnerabilities through automation and education

Requirements

✓5+ years of work experience in application security
✓Experience with security design reviews, threat modeling, or security testing
✓Enthusiasm for writing code and helping others
✓Solid written and verbal communication skills
✓Experience programming with JavaScript, Typescript, C/C++, and Python
✓Proactiveness and self-drive for remote work
✓Knowledge of modern web and mobile app security, real-world attacks, and mitigations
