About the Role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join Focused Energy, one of the world’s most innovative fusion energy companies. You will play a central role in driving commercial strategy and shaping market positioning across Europe and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- →Identify, analyze, and prioritize markets for fusion-based solutions across energy utilities, industry, research, and government sectors.
- →Build strategic partnerships with utilities, industrial tech companies, and public sector stakeholders.
- →Support preparation of commercial proposals, RFP responses, and feasibility analyses.
- →Represent Focused Energy at conferences, industry consortia, and investor-facing meetings.
- →Work cross-functionally with leadership, technical experts, finance, and communications on commercial strategy.
Requirements
- ✓Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
- ✓Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Science, Energy Management, or a related field.
- ✓3–8+ years of experience in Business Development, Strategy, Consulting, Energy, Deep Tech, or Industrial Technology.
- ✓Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to work in highly technical environments.
- ✓Demonstrated experience building partnerships with industry, government, or technology stakeholders.
- ✓Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
