About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Booking Operations Support Specialist to join our support team at Fora, a modern travel agency empowering travel entrepreneurs. This role is essential for assisting travel advisors and liaising with hotels to resolve booking and rate-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- →Write empathetic and clear messages to advisors regarding their support tickets
- →Compose concise and informative alerts to hotels about rate issues in the Global Distribution System (GDS)
- →Occasionally initiate phone calls to hotels when advisors report reservation issues
- →Search logs and use queries to locate hotel_reserve and hotel_rules logs
- →Analyze logs to extract rate information and identify discrepancies
- →Coordinate with hotels and internal teams to resolve issues such as missing rates, incomplete descriptions, and promotions not reflected on the portal
- →Forward booking details to advisors by accurately matching bookings to support tickets
- →Collaborate with the booking platform team to suggest improvements in processes and technical solutions
Requirements
- ✓Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- ✓Basic technical aptitude with a willingness to learn internal tools
- ✓Problem-solving skills and capacity to manage multiple support tickets
- ✓Experience working in the travel industry, CX, or semi-technical support role
- ✓Time Commitment & Compensation
- ✓This role requires 25–30 hours per week, with coverage during 6–11pm ET, including weekends. Compensation is $30/hour, commensurate with experience.
