About the Role
You’ll be a member of Gecko’s nascent product design team, collaborating with other designers to shape product design at Gecko. You’ll work closely with product strategists and engineers on complex, novel products for critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work directly with customers in the field to understand workflows and constraints
- →Help the team decide what to build in ambiguous problem spaces
- →Design and iterate on workflows and interfaces for technically complex domains
- →Use sketches, prototypes, and research to align the team and drive decisions
- →Travel to customer sites roughly once per month
Requirements
- ✓Senior or staff-level product designer with experience owning complex problem spaces
- ✓Ability to be the sole designer on a product team with no shortage of engineering and product
- ✓Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information
- ✓Strong mental models of systems and workflows
- ✓Experience with customer-facing work and time in the field
