Content Marketing Manager at Handoff
We’re hiring a Content Marketing Manager to help scale Handoff’s content engine by building the systems and execution required to consistently produce high-quality, contractor-first content.
In this role, you’ll combine strong copywriting with structured content project management to ensure ideas move efficiently from concept to publishing. You’ll own the planning and production of content across SEO, social, video, website, and lifecycle channels—helping drive qualified traffic, strengthen our voice with contractors, and improve conversion across the funnel.
This role is ideal for a content operator who understands how to balance creativity with structure — someone who can write with voice and clarity, move quickly, and layer light project management into their workstreams to ensure consistent output.
What you’ll do
• Own and manage Handoff’s content calendar across SEO blog content, social posts, and supporting formats.
• Write SEO-driven blog posts that educate contractors and drive organic discovery.
• Develop repeatable keyword research and topic cluster frameworks to build topical authority.
• Produce clear, persuasive website and landing page copy that improves conversion.
• Write lifecycle email content supporting onboarding, education, activation, and retention.
• Repurpose core ideas into multiple formats including social posts, short-form video scripts, and newsletters.
• Develop structured content briefs, editorial plans, and workflows that support consistent publishing.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Sales to ensure messaging reflects real contractor workflows and objections.
• Coordinate with internal contributors to maintain consistency and publishing cadence.
• Track and analyze content performance using SEO and analytics tools, using insights to refine topics and improve results.
• Maintain a clear, practical brand voice that resonates with contractor owner-operators.
• Continuously improve the content engine through better systems, templates, and editorial processes.
About you
• 4+ years of experience in content marketing, SEO, or editorial roles (B2B SaaS preferred).
• Exceptional writing ability with strong editorial judgment and the ability to maintain a consistent brand voice across blogs, website pages, and email.
• Proven experience producing SEO-driven content that ranks and drives measurable organic traffic, including keyword research, search intent, and on-page optimization.
• Experience managing structured content workflows, such as editorial calendars, content backlogs, and production pipelines.
• Ability to use performance data (e.g., Search Console, analytics dashboards) to evaluate content performance and guide topic selection and iteration.
• Experience writing conversion-oriented copy, including website pages and lifecycle email campaigns.
• Comfort repurposing core ideas across formats, including blog posts, social content, newsletters, and short-form video scripts.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to maintain a high publishing cadence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across marketing, product, and sales teams.
• Comfort working in fast-paced startup environments with high ownership and autonomy.
• Bonus: Experience writing for contractors, trades, construction, or other blue-collar audiences.
