About the Role
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join HelloFresh's HelloTech organization in Warsaw. This role is part of the Active Journey Alliance, focused on maximizing retention of active customers. You will work on developing and operating the HelloFresh platform that serves millions globally, delivering the best experience for customers and internal users.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work on the architecture, design, development, deployment and operations of microservices using DevOps practices, pair programming and cutting edge methodologies
- →Be an active, solution-oriented member of autonomous, cross-functional agile teams collaborating with Product Owners, Front-end Engineers, Designers, and Business Intelligence teams
- →Act as an ambassador for software solutions, offering support and mentorship to colleagues
- →Work with state-of-the-art technologies like Golang, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes and more
Requirements
- ✓Strong background in backend development, with a focus on microservices and distributed systems
- ✓Proven ability to build event-driven architectures using messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS/SNS
- ✓Proficiency in Go and/or PHP is preferred; experience with JVM languages and a willingness to learn Golang is also welcome
- ✓Practical knowledge of Docker, container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, and CI/CD implementation
- ✓Solid foundation in testing practices, including both unit and end-to-end testing
- ✓Deep understanding of relational databases
- ✓Familiarity with MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and/or GraphQL is a plus
