About the Role

We are looking for a Social Media Strategist to join HelloFresh Benelux at a pivotal moment to elevate our social media presence and deepen our cultural relevance within the Netherlands and Belgium. In this senior interim role, you will bring strategic clarity and creative ambition to help us evolve toward a more distinctive and conversation-worthy social identity.

Key Responsibilities

→Define the social vision and platform strategy for Benelux, clarifying how HelloFresh shows up and what makes us culturally resonant.
→Build meaningful community engagement by developing approaches that turn audiences into active participants.
→Unite Social and Influencer into one clear strategy, aligning organic content, creator partnerships, and UGC.
→Raise the creative bar by challenging and inspiring agency partners and internal stakeholders.
→Act as our internal trend authority, staying ahead of developments in food culture and social media.
→Define and measure success by establishing clear KPIs per channel and refining the strategy through data-driven insights.
→Ensure operational excellence by overseeing agency partners in content production.

Requirements

✓7+ years of experience in social media and/or brand management, with at least 3 years deeply focused on social strategy.
✓A relevant Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, or a related field.
✓A proven track record of elevating social presence for strong consumer/lifestyle brands, ideally in food, lifestyle, retail, or e-commerce.
✓Deep understanding of the Dutch and Belgian social media and food landscape.
✓Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution experience.
✓Confidence working cross-functionally with Brand, Growth, PR, and external agencies.
✓Fluency in both Dutch and English is a must (French is a plus).
✓Experience with tools such as Smartly, Jira, and Microsoft Suite is helpful.
