About the Role
We are looking for a Hardware Integration Engineer to join Heron Power, a startup company building cutting-edge power electronics for the 21st-century grid. This role focuses on delivering reliable, safe, and high-performing designs for converters that connect large-scale renewables, storage, and high-power loads to the grid.
Key Responsibilities
- →Conduct system-level design & analysis for low-voltage electronics architecture
- →Derive requirements and drive design reviews, interface definitions, and verification planning
- →Own the path to integration, defining success criteria and planning staged integration
- →Maintain the low-voltage architecture view, including interface control and safety/compliance evidence
- →Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans across all integration stages
- →Design and build test setups and tooling for LV electronics validation
- →Act as the technical lead for troubleshooting and root-causing during bring-up and integration testing
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- ✓Experience in systems integration, bring-up, validation, or test of low-voltage electronics in complex products
- ✓Demonstrated ownership across a meaningful chunk of a product lifecycle
- ✓Strong fundamentals across embedded behavior and system interfaces
- ✓Hands-on integration/debugging experience with instrumentation, logs/telemetry, and comms tools
- ✓Ability to move between high-level architecture definition and lab-level hands-on test execution
