About the Role
We are looking for a Data Scientist to join Homebase's data organization. This key leadership role will support the technical roadmap and strategy for data science and the machine learning platform, working closely with senior leadership to drive impactful solutions for small businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- →Partner with senior leadership to devise a comprehensive multi-year technical strategy for our ML platform
- →Guide the design and implementation of essential platform components for ML model training, deployment, and monitoring
- →Establish and enforce best practices for data quality, governance, and security standards
- →Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers across the organization
- →Offer expert guidance on industry-leading ML practices, tools, and technologies
- →Develop communication strategies to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences
- →Cultivate partnerships across multiple teams to address technical and non-technical problems collaboratively
Requirements
- ✓Over 7 years of software development experience, with 7+ years specializing in data science and ML
- ✓Proficient in building and deploying machine learning models, including language models
- ✓Experience in architecting, designing, and implementing scalable ML platforms and infrastructure
- ✓Proficient in building model serving pipelines for batch, streaming, and real-time inference
- ✓Experience driving the operationalization of ML models with CI/CD pipelines
- ✓Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset and attention to detail
- ✓Effective communicator and collaborator across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- ✓Proficient in Python, SQL, Spark, Databricks, Git, or similar technical stack
