About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join HR Wallingford’s Equipment and Technology Division. You will take strategic responsibility for all engineering design activity across Manchester and Wallingford sites, ensuring high-quality solutions are designed to budget and specification.
Key Responsibilities
- →Oversee the full lifecycle of design, installation, commissioning and training processes
- →Lead implementation and review of engineering design methodologies and tools
- →Coordinate design phase for multiple concurrent projects
- →Provide expert technical oversight and support buildability reviews
- →Ensure compliance with all relevant design and ICT standards
- →Contribute to the strategic direction of the E&T division
- →Provide line management and technical leadership to the engineering team
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- ✓Substantial engineering experience from a relevant industry
- ✓Strong background in mechanical design, analysis and problem-solving
- ✓Proficient in CAD design (Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA or NX)
- ✓Experience interpreting and analysing technical data
- ✓Experience managing budgets and resources
- ✓Proven line management experience
- ✓Excellent communication and collaboration skills
