About the Role
We are seeking a Linux Server Operations Engineer to ensure the availability, performance, and security of Linux Server environments for multiple clients. This role involves delivering operations, automation, and Level 2/3 support with on-call duty.
Key Responsibilities
- βAdminister shared services such as DNS, NTP, SMTP relays, web servers, and file servers.
- βMaintain and optimize virtualization and container platforms including VMware, KVM, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- βConfigure and maintain monitoring and alerting tools like Zabbix, Prometheus, Nagios, and Grafana.
- βInvestigate and resolve incidents affecting shared systems and services.
- βParticipate in a rotating on-call duty schedule to ensure 24/7 support.
- βApply security best practices and hardening guidelines on Linux systems.
- βRegularly test recovery and disaster scenarios.
- βUse scripting and configuration management tools to automate operational tasks.
- βCreate and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and on-call procedures.
Requirements
- βExperience with Linux server administration (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, RHEL).
- βKnowledge of shared services administration (DNS, NTP, SMTP, web servers, file servers).
- βFamiliarity with virtualization and container platforms (VMware, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes).
- βExperience with monitoring and alerting tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Nagios, Grafana).
- βScripting skills in Bash and Python.
- βExperience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack).
- βUnderstanding of security best practices and hardening guidelines.
- βAbility to work in a rotating on-call schedule.
- βStrong communication and collaboration skills.
