About the Role

Instacart is seeking a Staff Product Designer to join the Lifecycle & Growth team and lead experience design across Instacart’s subscription and growth ecosystem. This high-impact, collaborative role will shape how customers engage with Instacart, bringing strategic product thinking together with emotionally resonant, brand-forward design.

Key Responsibilities

→Own and articulate a compelling long-term design vision for Instacart’s growth journey
→Lead end-to-end design across subscription and monetization experiences
→Bring a journey-based, systems mindset to growth moments across web, iOS, Android, and lifecycle surfaces
→Shape product narratives and define strategic frameworks that communicate membership value
→Identify growth opportunities and translate complex needs into scalable experience strategies
→Champion trust-building design that balances clarity, confidence, and craft
→Raise the bar for cohesion and quality across growth surfaces
→Contribute to the evolution of Instacart’s design systems with a growth lens

Requirements

✓10+ years of experience designing consumer-facing digital products across web and mobile
✓Deep expertise in growth-focused design, including subscription journeys and monetization models
✓Proven success leading 0→1 initiatives and evolving mature products
✓Strong visual and interaction design skills
✓Strategic systems thinking ability
✓Experience aligning cross-functional teams around a shared growth narrative
✓Comfort navigating ambiguity and guiding teams toward clarity
✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills
