About the Role

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team at Inter. This role focuses on developing analytical and predictive modeling solutions for credit, risk, and collection processes.

Key Responsibilities

→Develop statistical, predictive, and machine learning models to support credit and collection decisions
→Translate business problems into well-defined modeling problems with clear hypotheses and success metrics
→Work with complex and high-dimensional data (behavioral, transactional, temporal)
→Design, test, and validate models considering performance, stability, interpretability, and biases
→Collaborate with Analytics Engineers and Data Engineers for feature definition, time windows, and analytical pipelines
→Monitor model performance and degradation over time

Requirements

✓Previous experience as a Data Scientist or equivalent role, with a focus on applied modeling
✓Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and machine learning
✓Experience in supervised modeling (classification, regression, scoring)
✓Ability to structure experiments, validations, and evaluation metrics
✓Good understanding of trade-offs between performance, interpretability, and risk
