About the Role
We are looking for a Robotics Software Engineer specializing in Robot Learning and Manipulation to join Intrinsic, Alphabet's initiative to reimagine industrial robotics. This role focuses on developing intelligent, accessible robotics solutions for manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop, train, and deploy multi-modal feedback- and interaction controllers for high-precision insertion and assembly tasks
- →Lead the AI manipulation model lifecycle, conducting trials on industrial hardware and curating training datasets
- →Architect and build modular components for reinforcement and imitation learning
- →Stress-test and optimize the real-time execution framework for learned manipulation models
Requirements
- ✓PhD or equivalent professional experience in Robot Learning and AI Manipulation
- ✓2 years of professional experience in C++ and Python with a track record of shipping production-quality code
- ✓Deep expertise with ML frameworks like JAX, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
- ✓Direct experience testing and iterating on physical robots with vision and force-torque sensors
- ✓Business fluency in English
