ABOUT THE ROLE
Hi, I’m Anthony [Upgrade to PRO to see link] and I lead within the Product Design team here at Jane. I’ve been at Jane for about two years, and during that time I’ve had the chance to see how deeply our work connects to our mission of helping the helpers.
Our team is responsible for shaping how our product feels and works for the practitioners, clinic owners, admins, and patients who rely on Jane every day. Our customers are always at the heart of what we do. We care deeply about building thoughtful, human experiences, and we’re still learning how to best leverage user research so it consistently shapes our product decisions.
This role is especially meaningful because it’s our first dedicated UX Researcher. Research is already happening across Jane, with designers and teams running studies and building useful foundations along the way. What’s missing is consistency, shared practices, and a clear connection between research and the decisions we make. You won’t just be joining a system, you’ll be helping shape how research shows up across Jane. That includes not only doing high-quality research yourself, but also helping others build confidence in running research and using it in their day-to-day work. A big part of the role is finding ways to scale your impact, whether that’s through enabling teams, improving systems, or exploring how AI and automation can make research more accessible and effective.
You’ll work closely with teams across Jane to help establish a strong foundation for research, building on what already exists and evolving it into something that’s consistently understood, trusted, and used to shape decisions across the company.
If you’re excited by the idea of building a practice, raising the bar, and helping teams turn insights into real product impact, this is a chance to do that in a very real way.
WHAT IMPACT WE’RE LOOKING FOR YOU TO MAKE
- Build strong, trusted relationships across Jane, helping teams stay connected to real customer needs and bringing curiosity and empathy into how decisions are made
- Deliver clear, actionable insights that influence product direction and help teams understand what truly creates a delightful experience
- Raise the bar for research quality and consistency by building on existing practices and supporting others to run thoughtful, effective research in their day-to-day work
- Create and improve systems, tools, and practices that make research more accessible, scalable, and easy to apply across multiple teams
- Consistently prioritize and deliver meaningful research in a fast-moving environment, balancing speed with depth while focusing on the highest-impact opportunities
WHAT EXPERIENCE WE NEED
- 8+ years of experience in UX Research, Product Research, or a similar role, with a track record of influencing product decisions
- Experience working cross-functionally and communicating effectively with a wide range of partners, including senior leaders
- Strong research craft, including framing problems, selecting appropriate methodologies, and synthesizing insights into clear, compelling narratives
- Experience helping others run better research, whether through coaching, systems, or shared practices
- Familiarity with using AI or automation tools in research workflows, with good judgment on where they add value and where human insight is critical
If you don’t meet every single qualification but are excited about this role, we’d still love to hear from you.
