About the Role
We are looking for a Staff Product Designer to join the Insurance team at Jane. This role focuses on creating intuitive and delightful experiences that help practitioners focus on their clients by removing friction in insurance billing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- βCreate insurance billing experiences that feel efficient, clear, and painless for clinics and patients
- βAdvocate for customers by grounding decisions in user research and representing their needs
- βStep into leadership moments by aligning stakeholders and communicating the purpose behind design work
- βRaise the bar for quality by delivering strong design outcomes and iterating based on real-world usage
- βTurn ambiguous problems into tangible solutions that shift teams from feature-focused execution to problem-solving
Requirements
- β8+ years of product design experience, ideally in SaaS or complex environments
- βStrong sense of ownership, including following designs into production and iterating based on real-world performance
- βAbility to reframe problems like a designer, defining success before jumping to solutions
- βExperience partnering closely with product, engineering, and other peers
- βSolid understanding of how AI systems work, with experience designing human-centered experiences supported by AI
- βPrevious experience in multi-sided marketplaces, financial data handling, regulatory compliance, or privacy/security requirements is a bonus
