The Team:
As part of the Marketing Department, the Organic Search team develops, manages, and optimizes integrated campaigns that drive leads for our self-serve and sales-assisted funnels. As a key member of the team, you will work cross-functionally to attract inbound traffic, capture demand across all stages of the funnel, and ensure Jobber’s content is discoverable through both traditional and AI-powered search experiences.
The Role:
Reporting to the Manager of Organic Search (SEO and AI Search), the Content Marketing Strategist executes high-quality, conversion-focused content to improve Jobber's authority, visibility, and brand presence. You will plan, create, and optimize content that drives traffic, impressions, engagement, and conversions across articles, free tools, product pages, and industry pages. This role blends editorial judgment with search expertise, particularly within emerging AI-driven discovery surfaces.

The Content Marketing Strategist will:
- Shape Content Strategy Across Search Engines and LLM Discovery
- Execute content from SEO briefs at high quality with minimal rounds of revision. Understand SEO and CRO requirements and implications from briefs, and translate them into finished content.
Build and maintain content clusters that reinforce topic authority and support pillar assets.
Support contributed content, backlink initiatives, and co-marketing programs to strengthen authority and reach.
Identify new inbound content opportunities based on audience needs and emerging trends.
Monitor generative search trends across platforms like Google SGE, ChatGPT, and Perplexity to identify new opportunities.
- Work Cross-Functionally to Plan and Execute Content
- Partner with Product Marketing, Web, Brand, and Design teams to understand business goals, positioning, and technical requirements that shape each content piece.
- Translate stakeholder input and brand guidelines into content that balances SEO requirements with conversion goals and user experience.
- Collaborate on free tools, comparison pages, feature pages, and other bottom-of-funnel assets that drive both traffic and qualified leads.
- Give feedback to stakeholders about what messaging and positioning will resonate in search and with your target audiences.
To be successful, you will need:
- Demonstrated experience taking SEO/AI Search briefs or specifications and producing high-quality, conversion-focused content in a B2B/SaaS context
- Strong understanding of search behaviour and how content surfaces in both AI-powered and traditional search channels.
- Proven ability to write clear, engaging content and copyaligned with user intent, performance goals, and brand standards.
- Proven ability to work effectively across teams, including Product Marketing, Competitive Intelligence, Web, and Design.
- Familiarity with Google Search Console and keyword tools such as AHREFs or SEMrush
- A systems mindset: you understand process, dependencies, and the steps required to execute consistently. You can work through a defined workflow and not skip steps.
Location:
We believe great collaboration is intentional, and sometimes that means coming together in person to build, brainstorm, and connect. To support this, the role is open to candidates based in one of our hub cities: Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, or Kitchener-Waterloo.
Compensation:
At Jobber, we believe that compensation should be transparent, fair, and reflective of your experience and growth. This role has a minimum annual salary of $71,400, a midpoint of $84,000, and a maximum salary of $96,600, designed to show the progression from learning the ropes to truly excelling.
We design our compensation to reflect each new hire’s skills, experience against the complexity of the role, ensuring a fair and competitive salary. Our range is intentionally broad to support growth and long-term impact, with fully established hires typically starting around the midpoint. The higher end of the range is reserved for those who have demonstrated deep expertise and lasting contributions, while offers below the midpoint reflect strong potential with room to develop. This approach ensures that compensation aligns with both an individual’s current capabilities and their opportunity for future growth.
