About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join a mission-driven, globally distributed team where data plays a central role in advancing large-scale community and impact initiatives. This role involves transforming diverse data sources into reliable pipelines, dashboards, and insights that support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and data models to support program outcomes and impact measurement
- →Develop and maintain self-service dashboards and reports for data-driven decision-making
- →Analyze trends and patterns across datasets to guide strategy and program interventions
- →Define and improve data processes, including ETL workflows and storage
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align metrics and reporting standards
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with at least three years of experience in data science or a related field
- ✓Strong programming experience with SQL and Python, including API integrations and JSON data handling
- ✓Hands-on experience with large-scale data processing technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Presto, and Spark
- ✓Proven experience with data visualization tools like Apache Superset or Looker Studio
- ✓Solid working knowledge of collaborative tools including Google Workspace
- ✓Strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with ethical data practices
