About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our Java Backend Development Department at JYSK Head Office in Aarhus. This role offers an opportunity to work on JYSK’s high-load, cross-channel e-commerce platform used by over 100 million customers across 29 countries.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop and maintain Java backend applications with focus on scalability, security, and high performance
- →Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
- →Participate in Scrum Team ceremonies and contribute to team collaboration
- →Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues
- →Collaborate closely with engineers, testers, product owners, and other stakeholders
Requirements
- ✓Recently completed or will soon complete a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cand. Scient., Information Technology, or similar
- ✓Knowledge of object-oriented programming (Java, C#, or similar)
- ✓Understanding of data structures and algorithms
- ✓Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate well in cross-functional teams
- ✓Curiosity, willingness to learn, and proactive mindset
- ✓Experience in coding projects, internships, or student jobs
