About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Infrastructure Security team at Klaviyo. This role involves building foundational security services and systems that enable engineers to develop software securely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

→Design and develop systems and processes that enable highly available & scalable systems
→Design, build and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Klaviyo’s services
→Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to achieve breakthroughs in systems throughput
→Leverage technologies such as Python, Golang, AWS, Django, Kubernetes, and more to advance Klaviyo’s platform
→Champion best practices by collaborating with other teams
→Mentor and pair with other engineers to build better software
→Participate in periodic on-call duties
→Prototype and advocate for architectural improvements
→Work with product-facing engineers to ship impactful code
→Perform quantitative investigation to understand and scale Klaviyo systems
→Produce preventative solutions with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

✓Strong hands-on experience with Linux operating systems and computer networking
✓Experience writing code in programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Go
✓Deep experience with cloud infrastructure in a high-scale environment
✓Strong hands-on experience building and operating highly available systems
✓Experience leading the delivery of significant projects or features independently
✓Deep expertise in modern web engineering and scalable, multi-tenant architectures
✓Regular use of AI-powered tools in development workflow
✓Ownership of operational excellence for systems built
✓Clear communication and collaborative teamwork skills
✓Experience in small, autonomous, agile teams
