About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Bangalore-based API Operations team at Kong Inc. This role involves building and expanding the API Operations toolset, starting with the deck CLI, and working with various API runtimes and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- βDesign, develop and build the API Operations toolset for Kong
- βKeep up with all of Kongβs API runtimes and enable new features
- βShape the technical direction for the evolution of API Operations
- βMake CLI tools work for both humans and automation
- βShip API changes to multiple tools simultaneously
- βCollaborate with product leadership to define strategy and roadmap
- βAssist in hiring and mentor the team
Requirements
- βBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- β3+ years of experience in building high-performance software with Golang
- βHands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- βPrior operations experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools
- βExperience building APIs and creating API workflows
- βStrong verbal and written communication skills
- βDesire to join a fast-paced pre-IPO startup
