About the Role
We are looking for a Data Focused Software Engineer to join our Power team at Kpler. This role involves enhancing data retrieval pipelines, expanding market coverage, and developing new features for our European power market product.
Key Responsibilities
- →Enhance pipelines to retrieve data from external providers
- →Expand coverage of data to new markets or geographies
- →Enrich the product and develop new features
- →Build and improve monitoring and alerting tools and dashboards
- →Contribute to the performance of our API
- →Collaborate with Data Scientists and market experts
- →Help the team build growth and improvement plans
Requirements
- ✓BSc/MSc in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent
- ✓3-5 years' experience as a data focused Software Engineer
- ✓Significant experience with Python (FastAPI is a plus)
- ✓Experience with Postgresql or similar data stores
- ✓Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs
- ✓Comfortable working with Git, code reviews, and Agile methodologies
- ✓Understanding of performance optimization and caching strategies
- ✓Great communication and ability to work asynchronously
- ✓Strong command of written and spoken English
- ✓Desirable experience
- ✓Experience with AWS (or another cloud provider), using Terraform
- ✓Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- ✓Knowledge on hexagonal architecture and medallion architecture
- ✓Used monitoring solutions (Datadog, Grafana, etc...)
