About the Role
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join LayerZero, a company building the future of omnichain interoperability. This role focuses on designing, building, and operating data infrastructure that makes data reliable, scalable, and accessible across a rapidly growing blockchain ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, implement, and maintain reliable batch and real-time data pipelines processing blockchain, system, and third-party data
- →Apply dimensional data modelling and SQL best practices to create high-performance, analytics- and API-ready datasets
- →Build and scale data infrastructure using tools like Snowflake, Postgres, Airflow, AWS (CDK), Docker, and ECS
- →Partner with analysts, engineers, and product teams to make complex data accessible via APIs, dashboards, and BI tools
- →Ensure data quality through monitoring, testing, validation, and clear documentation
- →Optimize pipelines, queries, and infrastructure for performance, cost, and reliability
- →Contribute to both batch processing and real-time streaming systems across a modern Web3 data stack
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience building scalable data systems as a data engineer or in a similar role
- ✓Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with dimensional data modelling
- ✓Experience with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar)
- ✓Proficiency in Python or Go for pipeline and data system development
- ✓Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow
- ✓Experience deploying and operating data systems in AWS and containerized environments
- ✓Comfortable performing and communicating strategic data analysis, and influencing data strategy
- ✓Curious about Web3 and excited to tackle novel data challenges in a fast-moving environment
