About the Role
QuillBot is seeking a Product Designer to join our design team, which focuses on creating elegant interfaces and delightful user experiences for AI writing tools. You'll be part of a collaborative, fast-moving team that shapes the future of design for AI-powered writing tools.
Key Responsibilities
- →Drive end-to-end product design, from initial user research to final delivery, collaborating with product managers, engineers, and design leadership.
- →Design QuillBot’s browser extension experience for Chrome, Edge, and Safari, contributing to core capabilities and visual design.
- →Ensure the browser extension integrates seamlessly with our web app and other product surfaces.
- →Contribute to and evolve our design language system, creating new components while reusing existing patterns.
- →Advocate for user experience by understanding user needs and behaviors.
- →Craft thoughtful experiences within browser environments, using strong interaction design and visual hierarchy.
- →Help nurture a culture of design excellence through critiques and mentoring.
Requirements
- ✓3–5 years of experience designing consumer-facing web products or browser extensions.
- ✓Portfolio showcasing systems thinking, visual design, and user-centered processes.
- ✓Understanding and use of design systems to scale design across web surfaces and browser environments.
- ✓Self-directed, thrives in ambiguity, and maintains quality while moving quickly.
- ✓Strong interaction and visual design skills with attention to craft and responsive design.
- ✓Experience as a prototyper using Figma, code, or motion.
- ✓Ability to write well or value writing, understanding how language shapes experience.
- ✓Experience designing for AI-powered tools or readiness to help build UX for emerging AI capabilities.
