About the Role

Lighthouse is seeking a Junior Backend Engineer to join our innovative team. You will be responsible for building high-performance APIs that transform terabytes of data into valuable insights for hotels worldwide. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies and contributing to our AI evolution.

Key Responsibilities

→Work on new feature developments for existing products and create new products from scratch.
→Architect, code, and maintain Python/Go (micro-)services.
→Deploy and monitor services in a reproducible and scalable way.
→Develop a high affinity with complex datasets by crunching large amounts of data in API implementations.
→Experiment with and improve our codebase/infrastructure for better performance and structure.
→Ensure high quality deliverables through extensive testing.
→Be part of product scrum-teams creating high performing APIs.
→Contribute to our AI evolution by building AI features and championing an AI-first development culture.

Requirements

✓Bachelor or Master degree in software engineering.
✓Experience writing Python and/or Golang.
✓Experience with any cloud platform.
✓Fluency in SQL.
✓Good software engineering practices, e.g., use of version control.
✓Fluent in English.
✓Passionate about clean, readable, and scalable code.
✓Creative, entrepreneurial, and open to innovation.
