About the Role

Lightspeed is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join their Financial Operations team. This role involves designing powerful tools that help internal teams better understand merchants to provide the best solutions for their business needs.

Key Responsibilities

→Lead project work from a design perspective with autonomy and authority
→Facilitate design reviews and working sessions to help teams deliver solutions
→Turn concepts into specific ideas that become useful and delightful product features
→Explore and integrate AI and emerging technologies to shape new approaches
→Design holistic systems, flows and interfaces that are simple, elegant, and user-friendly
→Use deterministic automation and AI to streamline operations
→Contribute to the continuous improvement of the design system
→Draw insights from research and data to create tangible solutions
→Build relationships and advocate for the user in cross-functional teams
→Be a positive role model and advocate for design within the organization

Requirements

✓At least 5 years of practical, in-house product, UX/UI design experience
✓Excellent communication skills to explain design work to stakeholders
✓Strong aesthetic skills to elevate brand visual identity
✓Skilled in service design practices
✓Experience working across all digital and physical manifestations of design
✓An acute level of self-awareness and deep empathy for both customers and team goals
✓Ability to consider product strategy and vision
✓Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Google Suite, JIRA, and prototyping tools
