About the Role
We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with strong frontend expertise to join the Driver Verticals team at Lyft. This role focuses on building user-facing features and internal tools that enhance the experience for both drivers and passengers.
Key Responsibilities
- βBuild and own features end-to-end from product specs through deployment and maintenance
- βDrive frontend architecture for modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and Next.js
- βCollaborate cross-functionally to integrate emerging technologies into our evolving infrastructure
- βShape the roadmap by contributing technical perspective on architecture decisions
- βWrite maintainable code with comprehensive testing and clear documentation
- βSupport your team through pairing and a culture of mutual growth
- βInterface with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate progress
Requirements
- β3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- βStrong proficiency building production-grade frontend applications with React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- βBackend experience with Python and Flask
- βFamiliarity with AWS services (DynamoDB, SQS) and Kubernetes
- βExperience designing and building REST or GraphQL APIs
- βUnderstanding of frontend fundamentals: JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, accessibility standards, and performance optimization
- βProven ability to write comprehensive tests (unit, integration, end-to-end)
- βSolid foundation in algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming
- βWorking knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases
