About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Security Engineer to help shape and scale the security foundation of Macroscope’s platform. You’ll play a key role in designing and implementing security architecture, controls, and secure-by-default practices across distributed systems, infrastructure, and APIs that power our core product.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and implement security architecture, controls, and secure-by-default practices
- →Lead projects focused on protecting customer data and hardening production environment
- →Establish best practices in identity and access management, cloud security, secure CI/CD, secrets management, and vulnerability management
- →Partner with engineering team to raise security bar across all products
- →Work directly with founders, engineers, and designers to make architectural decisions
Requirements
- ✓Deep experience securing distributed backend systems at scale
- ✓Proven track record of building and scaling products
- ✓Strong expertise in secure system design for resilient, performant services and APIs
- ✓Strong proficiency with cloud environments, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- ✓Experience leading security or engineering projects and driving architectural decisions
- ✓Hands-on experience with secrets management, key management/cryptography basics
- ✓Strong experience with Go (our primary backend language)
- ✓Experience with AI/ML systems (LLMs, RAG) is a bonus
- ✓Exposure to Temporal as a worker management system is a bonus
