About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team at MARKT-PILOT, one of Germany's fastest growing B2B scale-ups. This role focuses on building a high-performing engineering organization by owning people leadership end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own full people responsibility for ~10 engineers across multiple stream-aligned teams
- →Coach engineers across all levels, fostering growth in skills, scope, and impact
- →Partner closely with Lead Software Engineers who own technical direction and architecture
- →Measure and improve engineering effectiveness using a balanced set of indicators
- →Actively shape delivery health and developer experience by driving meaningful retrospectives
- →Own hiring end-to-end within your scope
Requirements
- ✓Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or a senior Tech Lead
- ✓Strong passion for people leadership: coaching, structured feedback, performance management
- ✓Deep understanding of agile and lean delivery principles
- ✓Solid technical foundation in modern SaaS environments
- ✓Ability to translate company objectives into staffing, capacity planning, and realistic delivery commitments
- ✓Clear, direct, and trust-building communicator, fluent in English
