About the Role
The MongoDB Documentation team is seeking a technical writer to join our diverse and highly technical group of engineers. This role involves developing and maintaining documentation for the MongoDB product family, helping developers and administrators successfully use MongoDB products.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work with technical and non-technical teams to meet documentation needs
- →Research product features and validate with diligent testing
- →Produce technically accurate documentation that users value
- →Contribute feedback to the team through copy review and planning discussions
- →Create or update documentation for features and write tutorials
- →Review the work of peers and provide quality copy and technical reviews
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of combined experience as a technical writer, developer advocate, software engineer, or product manager
- ✓Experience helping engineers understand product concepts and perform procedures
- ✓Excellent critical reading and writing skills
- ✓Experience deploying and troubleshooting software management tools on major cloud providers
- ✓Ability to read application code to understand product functionality
- ✓Experience testing and troubleshooting new product software
- ✓Comfortable working with Git and a docs-as-code writing environment
- ✓Comfortable leveraging AI tooling to augment content development
