About the Role
We are looking for an Enterprise Security Director to lead Mural's enterprise security product suite. This role focuses on building and leading the team responsible for security features that directly impact enterprise customer decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead technical execution hands-on, contributing to the codebase and setting the technical bar for enterprise-grade security products
- →Ship the security roadmap, delivering DLP policy management and real-time SIEM integrations within the first 6-12 months
- →Build a team with clear ownership, defining Enterprise Security's identity as a product area and creating the roadmap
- →Partner deeply with Product Management as a true peer, shaping what gets built based on technical feasibility and customer needs
- →Maintain enterprise-grade operational excellence, ensuring services meet audit, compliance, and uptime expectations
Requirements
- ✓Enterprise security product experience (required): You've built security capabilities for CISO and IT admin personas before
- ✓Deep technical expertise: 5+ years shipping production code, ideally with Node.js/TypeScript and React
- ✓Engineering leadership experience: 2+ years managing a team of at least 3 engineers
- ✓Outcome-oriented and experimental with AI: Experience using AI tools throughout the development lifecycle
- ✓Ownership and pathfinding: Ability to take full accountability for team outcomes and create clarity for engineers
- ✓Remote-first fluency: Default to async communication and know how to build team cohesion without in-person interactions
