About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer, Instrument Control to join Nautilus, a company developing a single-molecule protein analysis platform. This role involves designing, building, and supporting software systems that control hardware components within the Nautilus instrument for protein data acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- →Make major contributions to system architecture and design improvements
- →Design and implement software to control and coordinate multiple hardware components
- →Work cross-functionally with Bioinformatics, Biology, and Engineering teams
- →Drive changes to meet software engineering process standards
- →Provide support to existing systems
Requirements
- ✓7+ years of relevant software engineering experience
- ✓5+ years of experience with complex hardware control challenges
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in engineering or scientific field
- ✓Solid grasp of computer science fundamentals
- ✓Fluency in C/C++ and Python
- ✓Experience with microcontrollers running an RTOS
- ✓Familiarity with low-level communication protocols
- ✓Strong expertise in concurrent programming
- ✓Experience with Linux hardware drivers
- ✓Strong organization and communication skills
