About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our engineering team at Nelly, a healthcare fintech company. This role involves leading an AI product engineering team to build innovative products that support and automate medical practice workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead, inspire and grow a high-performing team of 3–6 software and AI engineers
- →Collaborate closely with a product manager to build, launch, and improve new products
- →Own hiring for your team, building a team of high-performing engineers
- →Keep your team at the cutting edge of LLM and AI based engineering
- →Own the quality, reliability, and security of your team’s products
- →Stay hands on, developing with your team
- →Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Nelly’s engineering leadership team
Requirements
- ✓1+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager and 8+ years of overall experience in the industry
- ✓A strong technical background with hands-on experience in building AI products
- ✓Experience working in the TypeScript or Python ecosystems
- ✓Experience with cloud native development
- ✓Experience designing, building, and owning customer-facing production back-end systems
- ✓A deep understanding of software engineering processes and team management
- ✓Empathy and excellent communication skills
- ✓Proficiency in English, German knowledge is a plus
