About the Role
We are seeking an Educational Data Analyst to join our dynamic team at Newsela. This role involves direct interaction with school district administrators to understand their data analysis needs and challenges. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain custom data dashboards while managing data integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- →Engage with school district leaders and educators to understand data analytics needs and educate stakeholders on dashboard usage
- →Design and develop customized metrics and dashboards
- →Utilize SQL for database management and queries
- →Provide ongoing support and maintenance for data dashboards
- →Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and Product to enhance the data platform
Requirements
- ✓Experience working with educational data and familiarity with K-12 schools
- ✓Experience with data visualization tools and dashboard design
- ✓Ability to translate complex data into digestible information
- ✓Advanced SQL skills
- ✓Experience working independently on projects
- ✓Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ✓4+ years of experience as a data analyst, data engineer, or similar role
- ✓Nice to Have: Experience with Python for data cleaning, analysis, and automation
- ✓Nice to Have: Experience with K12 Student Information System
