About the Role
We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join Newsela’s Sales organization and support aggressive growth. This role involves researching, prospecting through calls and emails, and qualifying leads to build pipeline for Sales Reps.
Key Responsibilities
- →Respond to inbound inquiries and conduct proactive cold outreach to potential customers
- →Provide online product demonstrations to draw prospects into initial discovery calls
- →Identify key needs that lead to qualified opportunities for the Sales team
- →Collaborate within the Sales organization to inform strategy and process
- →Represent Newsela as the initial point of contact with prospects
Requirements
- ✓1+ year of lead generation or inside sales experience
- ✓Pipeline generation experience through email and phone conversations
- ✓Salesforce.com experience and sales process training
- ✓Familiarity with sales platforms like Salesloft, Outreach.io, or Yesware
- ✓Excellent communication skills with empathy for buyer challenges
- ✓Ability to establish clear value propositions connecting buyer needs to products
- ✓Thrive in a fast-paced environment and partner with team members
