About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Accessibility Automation Engineer to join our team at NiCE. This role involves evaluating digital products to ensure they meet accessibility standards and provide an inclusive experience for all users, including those with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- →Conduct comprehensive accessibility testing of web applications using both manual techniques and automated tools
- →Evaluate user interfaces against WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 success criteria
- →Perform manual testing using assistive technologies like screen readers and speech recognition software
- →Develop and maintain accessibility automation frameworks
- →Integrate automated accessibility checks into CI/CD pipelines
- →Document accessibility findings with clear defect descriptions
- →Collaborate with UI/UX designers, developers, and QA teams
- →Validate accessibility fixes and ensure no regression before release
- →Author and maintain Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs)
- →Stay current with accessibility standards and best practices
Requirements
- ✓B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or related field
- ✓5-8 years of experience in IT as Automation QA Engineer
- ✓2-4 years hands-on experience in accessibility testing
- ✓2+ years of experience in UI Automation testing
- ✓Expertise in designing test strategy, test cases, and test plans
- ✓Experience with Playwright equivalent UI testing tools
- ✓Proficiency in Typescript, Java, or Javascript
- ✓Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins
- ✓Experience with defect management tools, preferably Jira
- ✓Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 guidelines
- ✓Experience with automated accessibility test suites using frameworks like Axe-core
- ✓Experience creating and updating ACR/VPAT documentation
- ✓Hands-on experience with assistive technologies
- ✓Familiarity with HTML5, CSS, ARIA attributes, and semantic structure
- ✓Excellent communication skills
