About the Role
We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to join OpenAI's Monetization team. This role involves building core mobile monetization experiences and iOS foundations that power user interactions with OpenAI's mobile apps.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build and ship new monetization experiences on iOS, including purchase flows and subscription management
- →Design and maintain shared iOS frameworks for account, trust, and commerce flows
- →Own complex client-side systems spanning UI, networking, and Apple platform integrations
- →Optimize performance and reliability for global-scale usage
- →Establish and evolve testing frameworks for long-term maintainability
- →Collaborate with Product, Design, Research, and backend teams to translate requirements into systems
- →Help uphold safety, privacy, and policy compliance across monetization experiences
Requirements
- ✓4+ years of professional software engineering experience with iOS
- ✓Proven track record shipping high-quality iOS apps for business-critical systems
- ✓Fluent in Swift and experienced with Apple's ecosystem
- ✓Experience owning complex mobile systems end-to-end
- ✓Strong focus on performance, security, privacy, and user experience
- ✓Ability to thrive in 0→1 environments where systems must be defined from scratch
