Orion Innovation is seeking a Mainframe Developer to join their team. This role involves working with Cobol and other mainframe technologies to support business transformation and product development.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop applications using Cobol and mainframe technologies
- →Utilize source management tools like GIT
- →Apply Agile and/or DevOps methodologies
- →Implement industry standard software design patterns
- →Conduct test driven development and automated functional testing
- →Resolve architectural problems related to scalability, performance, and security
- →Work independently and as part of a team on complex projects
Requirements
- ✓Associate’s degree in computer Programming or related discipline
- ✓Preferred bachelor’s degree in IT or related discipline
- ✓Minimum 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in application development
- ✓Experience with Cobol Development and other mainframe technologies
- ✓Knowledge of industry standard software design patterns, development, data modelling, and SOLID principals
- ✓Experience with test driven development and automated functional testing tools like UFT, Postman, and Selenium
- ✓Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate complex technical specifications
