About the Role
We are looking for a Linux Engineer/Administrator to join Canonical in London. This role involves delivering technical support to employees and customers, facilitating AV support for office conferences, and managing technical cases from qualification to resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- →Investigate and resolve complex customer problems related to Canonical’s products
- →Ensure support cases are handled according to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- →Engage directly with customers via phone, ticketing system, and remote sessions
- →Contribute to knowledge base articles and maintain existing content
- →Participate in weekend working rotation
- →Provide technical onboarding support for new employees
- →Support office events with technical and infrastructure assistance
Requirements
- ✓Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills
- ✓Exceptional academic track record
- ✓Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or equivalent experience
- ✓Track record of exceeding expectations
- ✓Experience with Linux troubleshooting and configuration
- ✓Understanding of Linux integration with other environments
- ✓Ability to navigate stack traces and logs
- ✓Solid understanding of OS and application level bugs
- ✓Programming fundamentals in any language
- ✓Extensive customer support experience
