About the Role
We are looking for an API Automation QA Engineer to join Orion Innovation, a global business and technology services firm. This role focuses on designing, developing, and executing automation test scripts to ensure quality and reliability of our systems.
Key Responsibilities
- βDesign, develop, and execute API automation test scripts using Postman (collections, environments, Newman).
- βPerform API functional, integration, regression, and negative testing.
- βAutomate UI test cases using Selenium (preferably with Java or C#).
- βDevelop and maintain automation frameworks for both API and UI testing.
- βValidate API responses, headers, status codes, and JSON/XML payloads.
- βIntegrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or similar).
- βPerform manual testing when required to support automation gaps.
- βLog, track, and retest defects using tools like JIRA.
- βCollaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business teams.
- βEnsure test coverage, quality metrics, and timely delivery.
Requirements
- β5β8 years of experience in QA Automation.
- βStrong hands-on experience with Postman for API testing and automation.
- βExperience using Newman for command-line execution and reporting.
- βSolid experience in Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
- βGood programming knowledge in Java or C#.
- βExperience with TestNG / NUnit / JUnit frameworks.
- βUnderstanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, authentication (OAuth, JWT).
- βFamiliarity with Git or other version control systems.
- βExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
