About the Role
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help evolve and operate Owner's cloud and deployment platform as we continue to scale. This is a senior individual-contributor role with broad ownership across infrastructure, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and developer enablement. You will work closely with product engineering teams to understand friction points and design systems to remove them.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, build, and operate core infrastructure with emphasis on reliability, security, and ease of use
- →Own and evolve our Kubernetes-based platform on AWS, improving service deployment, scaling, monitoring, and security
- →Build and maintain fast, reliable CI/CD pipelines to reduce deploy risk and increase developer confidence
- →Focus on developer experience by identifying pain points and replacing manual workflows with automation
- →Partner with application engineers to set clear patterns for how services are built and run
- →Strengthen operational excellence through improved monitoring, alerting, and incident response
- →Embed security into infrastructure and delivery pipelines with automated best practices
Requirements
- ✓Deep experience operating production systems in the cloud, particularly AWS
- ✓Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- ✓Extensive experience with Kubernetes in real-world environments at scale
- ✓Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- ✓Empathy for developers and motivation to eliminate pain points through good system design
- ✓Platform thinking with ability to build tools and abstractions
- ✓Comfort navigating ambiguity and taking ownership of loosely defined problems
- ✓Clear and pragmatic communication across teams with different priorities
