About the Role
We are seeking an Embedded Linux Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of our embedded Linux platform built on Yocto/OpenEmbedded. This role involves deep technical work in OS architecture, BSP integration, system bring-up, security hardening, and fleet-scale deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead the end-to-end design, development, and optimization of embedded Linux platforms
- →Collaborate with hardware, cloud, DevOps, and application teams to deliver secure, high-performance systems
- →Define and lead the long-term OS architecture strategy using Yocto/OpenEmbedded
- →Configure, optimize, and patch Linux kernels for performance and security
- →Architect end-to-end security solutions, including Secure Boot, Full Disk Encryption, and TPM/TEE integration
- →Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated image builds
- →Debug complex issues across the bootloader, kernel, and user space
- →Fine-tune system performance, including boot time optimization and memory footprint reduction
- →Support automated image builds and testing
- →Act as a technical mentor to junior engineers
Requirements
- ✓BTech, B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- ✓8+ years of experience in Embedded Linux development
- ✓Mastery of C and C++ with a deep understanding of object-oriented design and concurrency
- ✓Proven track record of managing complex, multi-layer Yocto environments
- ✓In-depth knowledge of Linux system internals, memory management, and process scheduling
- ✓Experience with ARMv8/Cortex-A and x86_64 architectures
- ✓Deep expertise in Linux networking stacks, storage, and low-level IPC
- ✓Ability to debug at the register level using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
- ✓Expert Git workflow management, Python/Bash automation, and familiarity with Docker/K8s
