About the Role

We are looking for a Staff UX Researcher to join our team at Patreon, a media and community platform that supports creators. This role involves managing complex research programs, navigating ambiguity, and producing high-quality research with deep user insights. You will foster a company-wide culture of research and learning, own the end-to-end research process, and partner with various teams to define research questions and drive business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

→Manage and are accountable for multiple complex research programs
→Navigate ambiguity and uncertainty to produce high-quality research
→Foster a company-wide culture of research and learning
→Own the end-to-end research process, ensuring ethical practices
→Report to the Head of Research and partner with Product, Product Design, Engineering, Data Science, People, and GTM Leadership
→Identify patterns and connect dots to inspire a broader vision for Patreon’s future
→Influence strategy and align the organization by presenting complex concepts to leadership

Requirements

✓Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
✓8 years of experience in an applied research setting
✓Experience leveraging a range of qualitative and quantitative research methods
✓Product research experience with 0-to-1 product development
✓Master's degree or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field
✓Experience in the content creation or entertainment space
✓7 years of experience working with executive leadership
✓5 years of experience managing projects and working in a matrixed organization
✓Experience with Artificial Intelligence to conduct and scale research practices
✓Startup experience with passion for working with emerging products
