About the Role
We are seeking a Manager of Financial Reporting and Compliance to join our Finance Department. This role is responsible for overseeing external financial data and regulatory integrity, ensuring accurate financial statements and compliance filings. The position requires deep technical mastery of accounting standards and involves managing high regulatory risk through internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- →Oversee preparation and filing of all required external reports and statutory reports
- →Apply GAAP or IFRS accounting standards to prepare quarterly financial statements
- →Research, interpret, and apply complex accounting standards to non-routine transactions
- →Develop, document, and update formal accounting policies and procedures
- →Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to ensure financial data integrity
- →Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles
- →Draft comprehensive notes and footnotes for financial statements
- →Serve as key contact for external auditors and manage audit processes
- →Perform detailed analysis of reported results against forecasts and budgets
- →Conduct rigorous review of work prepared by financial reporting teams
- →Provide accounting training to new hires and guidance to staff
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
- ✓3-5 years of directly related management experience
- ✓Advanced skills in Google products, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- ✓Experience in not-for-profit accounting and knowledge of not-for-profit operations
- ✓Great attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills
- ✓Ability to convey accounting information in easy-to-understand terms
- ✓Demonstrated skills in problem resolution
- ✓Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- ✓Excellent customer service skills and team player attitude
