About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our core delivery team at Propellerhead in Auckland, New Zealand. You'll help craft challenging systems beyond routine feature work, working alongside highly skilled peers who value software craftsmanship and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- βParticipate in all aspects of software solution design, including code structure, deployment architecture, DevOps, automated testing, and integration of third-party systems
- βCollaborate with client stakeholders and fellow developers to create a shared understanding of solution design and roadmap delivery
- βConstruct software at every layer of the stack, from user interfaces to back-end services and deployment pipelines
- βProvide second-line support of the systems you build and actively seek ways to keep your software secure, performant, and reliable
- βShare your learning of new technologies or techniques with the broader organization
- βDirect the development approach and review components delivered by implementation partners to ensure quality measures
- βContribute to the evolution of our code base from C# to Rust
Requirements
- β7+ years experience as a Software Developer with enterprise-level complexity
- βProficiency in TypeScript and at least one modern web application framework, preferably React
- βExperience in C# and up-to-date .NET frameworks
- βHands-on experience deploying to Azure and/or AWS, including building CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform
- βExperience with asynchronous services and/or stream processing
- βExperience with Kubernetes and container-based deployments
- βSome experience with Rust is desirable
- βExcellent written and verbal communication skills
- βAbility to produce clear and concise design documents
- βExperience using techniques such as user stories to express work as business outcomes
