About the Role
Redhorse Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior-Level Data Scientist to support the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Sustainment (OUSD(A&S)). This role involves advancing data-driven decision-making across the Department of Defense, designing and implementing robust data solutions that impact national security initiatives and investments.
Key Responsibilities
- →Support acquisition missions by extracting insights from structured and unstructured datasets.
- →Build predictive and prescriptive models to inform decision-makers and commanders.
- →Translate analytic outputs into clear, mission-relevant recommendations.
- →Develop machine learning, statistical, and optimization models.
- →Conduct feature engineering, validation, and performance tuning.
- →Clean, normalize, and integrate data from multiple classified and unclassified sources.
- →Ensure compliance with data governance standards aligned with DoD data strategies.
- →Understand how enterprise-level efforts align with the DoD Data Strategy.
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree plus 7+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree plus 5 years of experience.
- ✓Experience with big data systems, including Apache Spark and Databricks.
- ✓Experience with ETL processes.
- ✓Experience with the Advana Data Environment.
- ✓Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or MilCloud 2.0.
- ✓Experience engineering data pipelines across multiple security domains/classified networks.
- ✓Experience with multiple coding languages.
- ✓Active Secret security clearance. Top Secret
